: I am having a difficult time trying to get this idea out of my head. I know that in theory it should work but I've yet to hear from anyone that has tried it. I hear from people that sell it, but that isn't the same thing. Anyway, I found some interesting information on ebay about these things. I thought you guys might be interested too. Its a cheaper way to try it out if you want to do it. They do make a good point that you will totally screw up your engine if one of the fan blades breaks off. I don't know what the chances of that are but its nothing that a screen wouldn't help with anyway. I'm definatly looking into it and would appreciate any info that any of you that have tried it would care to give me. Shoot me an email if you have any good stuff. jngrbrdman@hotmail.com

Ok here are my thoughts about the whole thing. First of all these electronic turbos are correct in theory, but one major thing is left out psi or boost these fans may blow at a few hundred cfm, but when put under a load they're pretty much worthless. some of the best fans may only produce 1 psi and that's at very minimal cfm. So do they work, well they might improve throttle response along with helping to mix the gas and air but overall not enough to justify having bought a chip or something that will have proven horsepower gains. maybe in the future someone will find the right motor and shroud for the job, but until I see "produces 5 to 10 psi" I'll keep saving for a real turbo.
